Originally inspired by Japanese minimalism, the Distinct Side Table explores the creation of complex structures based on a single element. The minimalist construction creates a contrast to the richness of the travertine's earthy textures. With the natural and diverse qualities of the sand-coloured limestone, it provides rawness and tangibility that highlight the architectural character of the furniture piece.

1972 Pendant Lamp
Designed by the legendary Paavo Tynell, the 1972 pendant features a conical shade in bamboo, crafted by master artisans. The the bamboo slats are hand sewn into a pleated mat and fastened by hand to the wire frame, with a linen liner in between. This directs light down towards the base and creates a diffuse glow around the shade and upward, as the bamboo slats are penetrated by the light. Tynell's signature brass details are present as well, adding an air of timelessness and perfectly complementing the warm tone of the wood and light. Below the bulb, a fabric diffuser modulates the light and, beneath this, a decorative brass detail gives each lamp a flourish of character, and subtly influences the play of light it generates.

Pacha Sofa and 597 Model
Legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha Lounge Chair in 1975. Paulin designed the chair in harmony with the changing design style of its period, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, vigorous approach. First released in 1961, the Model 597 by Italian virtuoso Gianfranco Frattini is the lamp that launched him as a lighting designer. Its unique and playful form perfectly encapsulates Frattini’s extraordinary approach to the aesthetics of light. Model 597’s unique nylon fringes were inspired by both the world of fashion and the fringed entrance curtains commonly found in Italy’s bars and grocery stores in the late 1950s.

Epic Table and Croissant Lounge Chair
Named after the epic poems of ancient times, GamFratesi’s Epic Table for GUBI is a sculp- tural piece of furniture inspired by Greek columns and Roman architecture. Originally made in Italy from travertine stone, the table’s new variant marks the first time GamFratesi has worked with steel plates, which are galvanized, lacquered, and then treated with a series of hand-fin- ishing processes to create a unique surface expression for each table.Playful, voluptuous and sublimely crafted, the newly reimagined Croissant Lounge Chair makes a powerful statement in any interior setting and an heirloom to treasure for generations. Unmistakably the work of celebrated architect and designer Ilum Wikkelsø, the Croissant was his irreverent play on the more traditional Chesterfield sofa, using the French pastry as his inspirational reference.
